If you hear anything more, let me/us know. I don’t really know what to say. This is the part of cyber friends that sucks. You can’t run to the grocery store for them or whatnot.

How power is allocated within any relationship is (should be) unique to that relationship. How you describe that in your relationship sounds great to me.

It’s certainly better than the vast majority of people who claim to be equal or egalitarian or traditional without ever really thinking about what they are doing and how it’s working for them.

Since I started reading about “lifestyle” I’ve been confused about the 24/7 thing. I agree with you that it would near impossible to be kneeling at somebodys feet, or whatever, all the time every day.
But, having said that I consider my wife and I to be 24/7. It’s always there and we know it. But just because it’s 24/7 it doesn’t have to show.
For example, my wife and I may pass you and Jos in the grocery store. We’re both 24/7 and wouldn’t even think twice as we pass by each other. However, upon closer examination you may see my wife continues up and down the aisles pulling things off shelves as I walk away from the cart and get things missed or in odd places. She tells me to go get things and I get them. It’s not grovelling, but it’s how we do D/s. She takes the easier path and gives me the more difficult jobs. And it’s there all the time.

I don’t think that actually “listening” can be effectively useful unless clear indications have been given back that the given information has in fact been received and understood.

You know, though punishment would’ve been a weird place considering his “best efforts” - I figure I would suggest that you could always order him to have more practice though. Since obviously, there is some room for improvement based upon your goals
